THE POOL BUILDING PROCESS

1| PREPARATION ▼

We will come to your home for a consultation. Make an appointment with us to get the process started. We’ll rough sketch what the pool should look like, survey your property, and come up with an estimate for your desired build. We will work with you on your design and budget; and inform you of options.

2| ENGINEERING ▼

Our ideas will be put to work from the planning stage. Here an architect will design and plan your swimming pool. We will review the design with you before excavation begins.

3| EXCAVATION ▼

Also known as the “dig” site, excavation will begin after measurements are made and physical property markers are inserted into the ground. Excavation includes digging and preparing the property for the rest of the process.

4| STEEL REBAR ▼

Tough solid steel rebar is added and formed to the shape of your pool. This reinforcement makes your pool rock hard and will last for years to come.

5| PLUMBING ▼

This is where we carefully plan out the plumbing of your swimming pool. Placement is extremely important with respect to the pool equipment. We use long lasting pipe joint compound and prep the pipes with primer beforehand. Your plumbing will consist of grade A PVC pipe.

6| SHOOTING THE GUNITE ▼

Shotcrete, a dry-mix process invented in 1909; a pressurized air and rubber hose delivers cement at a high pneumatic pressure into the steel rebar. The steel rebar grabs the concrete and forms a solid wall, floor, and steps. An experienced and skilled shotcrete nozzleman is required especially in heavily reinforced areas.

7| TILE AND COPING ▼

The tile and coping of your choice is installed around the pool. The deck does not need to be installed at this time. Coping is the brick lay that goes down around the edge of your pool. The tile goes around the wall under the coping. It can make or break the design of your pool!

8| ELECTRICITY ▼

Licensed and insured electricians run the necessary wiring for your swimming pool to your new swimming pool equipment. An additional power panel and control system will be necessary

9| DECKING AND PATIO ▼

A deck of your choice is installed. We offer every type of masonry decking, wood decks, eco-friendly decks and more! Check out our Landscaping page for more information

10| POOL MARBLE DUSTING / POOL PLASTERING ▼

Pool plastering is a must for a Gunite Pool. It is a thin shell made of bond-coat material that goes on top of the shotcrete. Click here to learn more about our Marble Dusting

11| ENJOY ▼

Your pool is finished! We will begin the filling process next and we will visit the site to check for quality once more. We will also show you how to use your new swimming pool! Once the chemicals are balanced and initialization of pool equipment is done, you’ll be all set to swim!
